Elisabeth Fußeder (*2000) knüpfte in ihrer Heimatstadt Freising in der Kompositionsklasse des Komponisten Rodolphe Haimann erste Kontakte zur Kunst des Komponierens. 2020 absolvierte sie an der musication Berufsfachschule für Musik in Nürnberg mit Auszeichnung die Prüfungen zur staatlich geprüften Ensembleleiterin. Anschließend studierte sie in Freiburg Komposition bei Prof. Brice Pauset sowie Gehörbildung bei Prof. Konrad Georgi und befindet sich derzeit im Masterstudium bei Prof. Johannes Schöllhorn. 2023/24 war sie als Erasmus-Studentin an der Sibelius-Academy in Helsinki eingeschrieben.
Fußeder erhielt bereits mehrere Auszeichnungen bei dem Wettbewerb Jugend komponiert Bayern unter der künstlerischen Leitung von Minas Borboudakis, dem Wettbewerb „re:compose“ (Edukationsprojekt des Bayerischen Rundfunks) und dem Wettbewerb „Fanfare“ des Spielfeld Klassik. Aufführungen ihrer Werke fanden bereits in Deutschland, Portugal, Schweden, Italien, Belgien und der Schweiz statt. Sie wurde mit Auftragskompositionen für u. a. den via-nova-chor München, das Ensemble recherche, mehrfach den Bundesjugendchor, die Munich Classical Players, das Festival code modern, den Bayerischen Landesjugendchor, das Ensemble 'False relationships and the extended ending', das Vokalensemble Lauschwerk, das Ensemble Feuervogel und die Mädchenkantorei am Freiburger Münster betraut. Ihre Komposition "may-be-peace" für fünf Stimmen erhielt 2022 den Sonderpreis des Valentin-Becker-Kompositionswettbewerb. 2023 wurde 'in tenebris' für gemischten Chor beim Kompositionswettbewerb der randspiele Zepernick ausgezeichnet. Fußeders "Sofðu unga ástin mín" erhielt 2024 den ersten Preis beim Wettbewerb Nocturne (ausgeschrieben vom Voktett Hannover, der chor.com, dem Kulturbüro der Stadt Hannover und dem Carus Verlag). Ihr Zyklus „waldeslust“ ist auf der Debut-CD des Bundesjugendchors sowie als Partitur bei Carus erschienen und wurde unter anderem vom Eric Ericssons Kammarkör unter Gastdirigat von Justin Doyle aufgeführt.
Angetrieben von ihrer Leidenschaft für Vokalmusik singt Elisabeth Fußeder in mehreren Chören und war Gründungsmitglied des Vokalsextetts "Chiave", das mehrfach auf Bundesebene mit Sonderpreisen ausgezeichnet wurde.

Elisabeth Fußeder (*2000) made her first contact with composing in her hometown of Freising (Germany) in the composition class of composer Rodolphe Haimann. In 2020, she graduated with distinction from the musication vocational school for music in Nuremberg as a certified ensemble leader. She then studied composition with Prof. Brice Pauset and aural training with Prof. Konrad Georgi in Freiburg and is currently pursuing a master's degree with Prof. Johannes Schöllhorn. In 2023/24, she was enrolled as an Erasmus student at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki.
Fußeder has already received several awards at the Jugend komponiert Bayern competition under the artistic direction of Minas Borboudakis, the “re:compose” competition (an educational project of Bayerischer Rundfunk), and the “Fanfare” competition of Spielfeld Klassik. Her works have already been performed in Germany, Portugal, Sweden, Italy, Belgium, and Switzerland. She has been commissioned to compose works for, among others, the via-nova-chor Munich, the Ensemble recherche, the German National Youth Choir on several occasions, the Munich Classical Players, the Festival code modern, the Bavarian State Youth Choir, the ensemble ‘False relationships and the extended ending’, the vocal ensemble Lauschwerk, the ensemble Feuervogel, and the Mädchenkantorei at Freiburg Cathedral. Her composition “may-be-peace” for five voices received the special prize at the Valentin Becker Composition Competition in 2022. In 2023, ‘in tenebris’ for mixed choir was awarded a prize at the randspiele Zepernick composition competition. Fußeder's “Sofðu unga ástin mín” won first prize in the 2024 Nocturne competition (announced by the Voktett Hannover, chor.com, the Cultural Office of the City of Hannover, and Carus Verlag). Her cycle “waldeslust” was released on the debut CD of the German National Youth Choir and as a score by Carus, and has been performed by the Eric Ericsson Chamber Choir under guest conductor Justin Doyle, among others.
Driven by her passion for vocal music, Elisabeth Fußeder sings in several choirs and was a founding member of the vocal sextet "Chiave", which has received several special awards at the national level.
